I graduated from Dothan High School in 1995.  I attended Wallace Community College and transferred to Troy University of Dothan.  I received my Bachelor's of Science in Collaborative K-6 Education in 2006.

I began my career as a Dothan City Schools Special Education Paraprofessional while I was in college.  My first teaching position was at Mixon Elementary School.  I taught for two and a half years as a Self-Contained and Resource Teacher for first through fifth grade.  I then moved to Hawaii and took a job at Maui High School as a Living Skills Curriculum Instructor for a year and a half for ninth through beyond twelfth grade.  I returned to the states and took a job at Honeysuckle Middle School as a Resource and Inclusion Teacher for a year and a half for sixth grade.  I am now proud to be a Slocomb Redtop and teach the Living Skills Curriculum Class for six though beyond twelfth grade.

My name is Jennifer S. Mitchell and I have a combined 6 years of teaching experience with students that have special needs.  I am dedicated to my job and am constantly striving for personal and professional improvement.   I am married to a wonderful Canadian and have two beautiful little girls, Jordyn Henley and Olivia Sophia.  We live in Rehobeth and travel several times a year.  I love to go to church, travel, and shop!
