I would like to welcome everyone to our web site. Please visit your child's teacher's web page. The web page is a great way to communicate with all of our teachers as well as myself. Feel free to email me at any time and I will try my best to respond to you as soon as possible. We are making great progress at Slocomb High School. Both our high school and middle school passed all of the annual goals set by the No Child Left Behind legislation this year. Our teachers and students worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. I would like to congratulate all of them on their hard work. We are the only school in the county to achieve this goal for two consecutive years. We were one of just a handful of schools in the wiregrass to achieve this distinction. The biggest change to our student handbook this year is the new cell phone policy. The Geneva County Board of Education passed a new policy due to cell phone issues across the county. Cell phones are no longer permitted on campus during school hours. The first time a cell phone is confiscated a parent conference will be held. On the second offense the phone will be confiscated and will not be returned until the end of the current semester in which the phone was taken. I ask that all parents and students respect this new policy. I would like to thank all of the parents for giving me the opportunity to serve the best students in the state of Alabama. I feel that we have some of the best teachers and students that can be found any where in the nation. I would like to thank all of you for the support that you have given me over the years. Slocomb High School has been the best experience of my career. I hope to continue to serve the students of Slocomb High and Middle Schools for many years to come.
